Trakehner Verband

Manrico x Donaumonarch

Bay - 26.03.2003 - 170cm

I have the honour and privilege to introduce St Pr u Pr Charisma to Tyddyn Cochyn stud she  was the unchallenged and charismatic champion mare of the 2006 central mare grading in Schleswig - Holstein. She has an impressive frame and powerful movement with a temperament to die for.

Sire: Manrico

E.H. Manrico is one of the most successful sport horse sires in the Trakehner breed. He was described by the breed director as: "Athletic and energetic stallion with large shoulder that allows for a flamboyant use of the front leg with goods knee acon. Always in excellent self-carriage displaying an excellent feel for rhythm and balance. Very good foundation with large joint." In many ways, this is also an accurate description of his offspring E.H. Manrico was successful at S level (Inter I) as a dressage horse.
For many years, Manrico has been stationed at Gestüt Majenfelderhof and over and over again, he sires exceptional daughters and very good performance horses. He is a clear dual-talent and produces that in his offspring. His FN and Trakehner Verband breed indeces show that to be a fact. Manrico was the Reserve Champion of his 100 day test in Warendorf in 1995 (total 129.15; dressage: 134.64; jumping: 108.63) and scored straight 9s for his character, performance ability, his walk, his rideability and no score was under 8 in total. His breed indec in 2008 (FN) gave him 126 in dressage and 105 in show jumping (this is based on the success of his get in competition), which puts him in the Top 10% of all Trakehner stallions in dressage, places him 14th as a sire of show jumpers and gives him a great 3rd place in the categors of "versatility".
Besides the high quality of his daughters, Manrico is also known as a producer of dual talent. His offspring compete in dressage at S level and in eventing at CIC** level.

Sire "Gipsy King", reserved champion of the stallion performance test is now chief-sire at the National Stud Moritzburg.

His dam "Marcia II" (state premium mare) is a daughter by the Ibikus-son "Vincent" and mother of premium sire "Märchenprinz".

Donoumonarch

His performance-oriented stallion has a top class pedigree. His Thoroughbred sire, Sir Shostakovich xx, was stationed with the Holsteiner breeder's association, because of his pedigree and enormous jumping ability.  Sir Shostakovich xx sired two approved sons in Holstein from his first foal crop. Grandsire Rheingold xx, in addition to several other wins, won the prestigious Prix de l' Arc de Triomphe, a sure indicator of class, ability and stamina. Donaumonarch is linebred four times to Nearco xx and two times to Furioso's sire, Precipitation xx.

The mother line of Donaumonarch is the Trakehner main studbook family of Donna. His dam Donauquelle and her daughters won the coveted federal mare family award in 1994. Many, many state premium mares descend from this family. Donaumonarch followed an excellent stallion performance test with several "S" jumping tournament wins.  He placed second of the German team at the Nation's Cup in Insterburg. If you are looking for the best in jumping talent, combined with the type and refinement of the Trakehner/Thoroughbred cross, look no further.

Her sire Freudenfest is the undisputed champion of Neumünster 1999. He knows how to please with excellent movements always beeing self-conscious of his own impessive appearance. In all three movements he comes up with sovereignty without any negligence. His big framed, well-proportioned body impresses by noblesse and harmony" (Statement of Lars Gehrmman)

His dam elite-mare "Tugend", is a daughter of the Anglo-Araber "Burnus" known as a really successful eventer ridden by Dr. R. Klimke in former times.Frudenfest sire "Tolstoi", is premium stallion at Neumünster, . He has sired four sons (two champions, one premium-stallion) as well as several premium mares.
